Hello, CHS Alumni families! We may not have been in touch for awhile but hope you and yours are doing well and experiencing blessings of all kinds. A few years ago, none of us could have imagined where we would be today! What we do know is that throughout all trials of this life, and what the world has thrown at us, the family – loving, caring, equipping families are just as “essential” now as ever before. It’s been a challenging couple of years at Christian Heritage School. While homeschooling is on the rise, many families are choosing to go to public charter schools instead of to committed faith-based, private homeschool organizations such as ours. To better secure the future for CHS, we reorganized the organization as a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, created a school Board of Directors and have continued the tradition of All School Meetings and small groups in order to continue the values of community and connection that have been a part of our unique CHS community for over 30 years. CHS has remained faithful to its beginnings of not accepting public funds and only accepting families who are homeschooling privately; we invite you to help us to ensure that future generations also have the opportunity to carry the torch. We therefore, invite you to join our new Friends of CHS Legacy. Our purpose is two-fold:1.To be an encouragement to you and succeeding generations. This is an opportunity to stay connected to our homeschooling family, by receiving updates and info on school events and keep some of your favorite memories alive! Maybe reestablish some lost friendships and certainly make new ones. Come out and see what God is doing and be encouraged. Also, we would value your experiences, your stories and any skills or mentorship you’d like to share with our current students/families. A life of learning isa lasting joy.2.To be a financial support for CHS. Your donation will bolster our ability to reach more families in need of homeschooling support and community. This fund is not a particular scholarship but will establish a stronger base for operations. Thank you for your love and faithfulness to your family. Every family makes a vital difference to our communities. We hope to connect with you in the near future. We covet your prayers for today’s families in the trenches and our wisdom to guide them.
