Eureka! We found it!🤠 Our 3rd–5th graders an Eureka! We found it!🤠 Our 3rd–5th graders and Young Scholars spent the day immersed in the sights and stories of the Old West at Knott’s Ghost Town. From stepping inside an authentic one-room schoolhouse to watching a blacksmith at work and meeting a fur trapper passing through town, students experienced frontier life in a way no textbook could capture. Every corner held a story, and every interaction helped bring early California history into focus. Ever wonder where your water actually comes from? Ever wonder where your water actually comes from? Join us for a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at a local water treatment center. It is such a unique opportunity for our students to connect real-life learning with the world around them. This is a two part field trip: First our students will learn the history of the reservoir and gain a clear understanding of how water treatment works via zoom before seeing it in action. 
Next they get to watch it all come to life! Our students will walk through the facility, see the process firsthand, and discover how water is safely delivered to our community every single day. Not your average school day… 🐾💩 What an i Not your average school day… 🐾💩 What an incredible gift it was to step outside the classroom and into God’s creation as our students became Poopologists for a Day! From studying scat to decoding what animals eat based on their teeth, this hands-on adventure sparked curiosity, laughter, and awe at the way everything in nature is designed with purpose. We explored herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores, practiced careful observation, and made some truly unforgettable discoveries along the way. Thanks to the incredible creativity of our Nature School leader our students were able to create and categorize animal scat, dissect owl pellets, and hike in a creek bed to search for real-life signs of wildlife all around us. We are so thankful for opportunities like this where learning is lived, explored, and experienced in a way that truly sticks… and leaves our students in wonder. #CHSCommunity #NatureSchool #SkyandStem #myCHShomeschool
