We had so much fun learning about pottery at the M We had so much fun learning about pottery at the Mud Hut! On our field trip, students explored the art of pottery from start to finish — taking a guided tour, watching clay come to life on the pottery wheel, and creating their very own pinch pots to take home. As we worked with the clay, we were reminded of the beautiful picture in Jeremiah of the potter and the clay and how the potter carefully shapes and forms each piece with purpose. Our 3-5th grade students will experience history through the eyes of the Tongva people, the original inhabitants of this area. They will participate in hands-on activities—like grinding seeds, using a pump drill, exploring native tools, and even play some interactive games. Students will learn how the Tongva used natural resources to build homes, gather food, create clothing, and prepare medicine and discover why the river and wetlands were essential to daily life. #christianheritagecorona #myCHShomeschool #christianhomeschool
🍊✨ What an incredible day at Citrus STEM Day! 🍊✨ What an incredible day at Citrus STEM Day! We had SO much fun exploring, experimenting, and learning together! We explored conductivity by completing circuits using our bodies and oranges to carry the electric current! ⚡🍊 We learned how limonene in citrus peels helps protect the fruit and works as a powerful natural cleaner. Then we used biomimicry, learning from God’s design in nature, to create our own citrus-based household cleaner. Days like this remind us how beautifully science and creation fit together. Learning, exploring, creating… and doing it all in community made it extra special.
