Why We Homeschool

Christian Heritage came into existence in 1991 by our founder, Arleen Morris, to serve Christian homeschooling Inland Empire families. CHS became a part of the grassroots homeschooling movement of the 90s before it became a popular form of education. We believe that God has given parents and guardians the task to educate their children in the word of God and to teach by example. In this current climate of Charter Schools (part of the Public School System) it has become popular to simply “school at home” meaning that you take all the text books and sit in a stagnant position and complete the tasks set before you by the teacher’s manual then you go about your day. We, on the other hand, encourage our families to truly “homeschool”, meaning that everything at home can become a lesson, from the ants in your backyard to baking in the kitchen. Sure, we use textbooks but we know that you know your students best. You know their interests, their struggles, therefore, you can take the time to focus on what they need help on while also developing their passions.

Why Join Our Christian Private Homeschool?

– Freedom –
By joining a Private Christian Homeschool group you get freedom to choose your curriculum. Unlike Public Charter Schools that require you to teach curriculum that are deemed appropriate by the state, you have the freedom to teach your students with a biblical worldview in all subjects. Which allows families to integrate faith into all subjects.

– Services –
Our experienced office staff helps our families meet the California state educational requirements without the burden of administrative details, ensuring that students are on track academically while maintaining accurate records for compliance and future goals. In addition to maintaining student cumulative files and transcripts, we assist members by offering expert advice regarding curriculum decisions and individual learning plans for students.

– Community –
CHS offers numerous field trips, park days, family events, teaching trainings, and school meetings that allow you and your students to build meaningful friendships. The fellowship developed through our Christ-centered homeschooling community plays an integral role in enhancing the homeschooling experience of our members.
